9月1日に桜島の噴火警戒レベルが3に引き下げられました。いつもと違う場所（昭和火口よりも東側）へ急激に上昇してきたマグマが、地表へ出ることなく（噴火することなく）、途中で止まったと判断されたためです。

一方、9月3日から小規模な噴火が頻発しています。この噴火は先ほど説明した「いつもと違う場所へ急激に上昇したマグマ」とは関係ありません。いつも使っている火道（マグマの通り道）から上昇したマグマが噴火したものです。地盤変動のデータも以前と同じような動きをしています。つまり、いつもの桜島の火山活動に戻ったと考えらるわけです(^^)

簡単なマンガを描いてみました（デフォルメしてあります。位置や大きさなどは無茶苦茶ですので、ご注意ください）。

桜島は小規模な噴火を繰り返すのが、いつもの状態。地球の鼓動を感じることができる面白い場所です(^^)

The eruption alert of Sakurajima has been lowered back to the original level

The eruption alert of Sakurajima has been lowered from level 4 to level 3 since 4:00 PM today. (The eruption alert of Sakurajima is usually level 3 which is the restriction on entering the mountain.) The facilities which have been closed since the 15th of August are already reopened from the 27th of August and it is safe to visit Sakurajima.

Arimura Lava Observatory and Furusato Park are still remained closed, but they will soon be open, too.

Reopening of a Portion of Sakurajima Area Tourism Facilities

The Sakuajima Area tourism facilities listed below will resume operation following their closing after the Sakurajima Alert Level was raised to 4 on 15 August (Saturday).

■Common Reopening date 27 August 2015 (Thursday)

■Name and Contact Information for Reopened Facilities

※ Arimura Lava Observatory and Furusato Park remained closed until the alert will be called off since it's located within 3 km from crater.
Furthermore, the evening cruises (scheduled until 31 August) will be cancelled for the rest of the season.

In response to Sakurajima's warning level being raised to 4, the island's tourist facility's and buses offered the following information. 

Tourist Facility Closure
　-Arimura Observation Point
　-Yunohira Observation Point
　-Sakurajima Island View; bus service running in Sakurajima
　-Sakurajima regular tourist bus service
　-Rainbow Beach
　-Saido Beach
　-Kurokami Buried Shrine Gate Parking
　-Furusato Park
 *these facilities will be reopened once safety is confirmed.

Facilities with changes in operating times
　-Hinoshima Megumikan Agricultural Market *For the length of the 　current situation.

City buses
　-Regular buses (60 and 70 numbers) will operate as usual.
　-For the length of the current situation, the Sakurajima Island 　View Bus will not operate.
　-For the length of the current situation, the Sakurajima 　
　-Regular Sightseeing Bus will not operate.

Sakurajima Ferry
　-Regular ships will operate as usual.
　-For the length of the current situation, the Yorimichi Cruise 　will not operate.
　-For the length of the current situation, the 2015 Sakurajima 　
　-Evening Cruise will not operate.

Evacuation advisory was lifted.(August 22nd 11:30am)

Evacuation advisory in Arimura, Furusato and Kurokami (Shioyagamoto) areas was lifted at 11:30am on August 22nd.(by Kagoshima city headquarters for disaster control)

１．Area information
(1) Evacuation advisory was changed to the information of preparation for evacuation at Arimura and Furusato areas.

(2) Evacuation advisory at Kurokami (Shioyagamoto) area was lifted. The information of preparation for evacuation was also lifted.

2. Reason
This decision was made on the basis of opinions from various experts of volcano.

There is a possibility that Sakurajima will have larger scale eruption than usual.
Residents who live within 3 km from the crater have evacuated and the tourist facilities such as Yunohira Observatory, Arimura Lava Observatory, Kurokami Buried Shrine Gate, and Sakurajima Island View Bus are unavailable.
We cannot recommend you to do sightseeing in Sakurajima under current situation, however the facilities near Sakurajima Port which is 6 km away from crater (such as Sakurajima Visitor Center and Rest Stop) are still open.

【速報】観光規制の大部分が解除されます！　桜島観光できますよ～(^^)

平成27年8月27日(木曜日)より供用を再開する観光施設等は以下の通り。
・湯之平展望所
・黒神埋没鳥居前駐車場
・サクラジマ アイランドビュー(観光地周遊バス)
・レインボービーチ
・西道海水浴場
・黒神埋没鳥居
・桜島定期観光バス
・よりみちクルーズ船（桜島フェリー）

閉鎖されている観光施設は以下の通り。
・有村溶岩展望所
・古里公園

※納涼観光船（桜島フェリー）は、今季（8月31日まで）は運行を中止します。
